Papa!GermanyxChild!Reader Part ten

Note: Part ten of the fan fiction! ☺ I can’t believe that I have finally made it into the double-digits with this! Any ways, I hope you will enjoy this one as well. ;D

~*Germany’s POV*~

I waited, sitting in the hospital’s waiting room with Japan sitting next to me. I sighed, putting my forehead on my clasped hands. I rested my brow over my knuckles, closing my blue eyes with another sigh. I waited. And waited. And, waited some more. Just as I was about to get up and storm to the nurses behind the desk, the door that led into the medical wards opened up. I quickly lifted my head up, looking directly over to the doctor, who was currently gazing down at his clipboard. He then looked back up, saying, “Who is the guardian of (f/n)?” with a monotonous voice, as his eyes scanned the waiting room.

I stood up, nodding to the man, “Ja, I am,” I told him, watching as he flickered his eyes to his clipboard. He didn’t ask any further questions, but motioned for me to follow him, as he suddenly walked back through the door. I looked back at Japan, saying, “Stay here until the others come. I vill be back shortly.”

Japan looked up, nodded in my direction, before looking back down at the magazine he was reading. I furrowed my brow, and walked to the doctor with big strides; catching up to his steady gait easily.

“How is (f/n)? Is she alright?” I asked the doctor; urgency clear in my tone.

He merely sighed, continuing to walk down the white, laminated hall, before responding with, “She’s in stable condition. A broken leg, along with many cuts and bruises. I will tell you more once we get to her ward, since it might not be the best idea to tell you in the halls.”

I only nodded, walking alongside the doctor as he turned to the right, and started to slow down as the first ward came into view. On the ward’s door, a clipboard was hung up, reading off the name ‘(f/n)’, along with standard information. The doctor stepped forward, turned the doorknob, and slowly opened the door, before walking into the pale yellow room. I followed behind, staying quiet as I walked into the room. I didn’t want to wake up poor (f/n), considering how much she had been through during the kidnap.

When I walked into the room, I suddenly heard the beeping of the steady heart monitor, and the occasional drip from the IV sack. I looked at the pale, small form in the bed. I watched as the form’s chest rose and fell slowly. I scowled, but then frowned gently, worry etching itself onto my face. I looked at the form, slowly realizing who, and what it is. It’s (f/n)…It’s (f/n), mein Tochter….Vat happened to mein kleinekind? I thought, as my eyes glued themselves to the girl, like a malnourished animal to the sight of fresh meat.

The doctor cleared his throat, which grabbed my attention. I looked over at him, whispering with concern, “Vat is vrong vith her? Ven vill she be able to get out of ze hospital?”

By the look the doctor gave me, it seemed that he didn’t know yet. I sighed, then asked quietly, “…May I be vith her….alone?” The man, who was looking at his watch, nodding lightly at my request. Then, with a sudden movement, he was out of the room and walking down the hall.

My eyes went over to the door, making sure it was closed. Then, once I realized it was, I sighed shakily, pulling up a chair beside the hospital bed. I sat in it and looked down at (f/n)’s frail form. I watched her breath softly, tears threatening to escape my eyes. I reached a hand out to her head, brushing away strands of (h/c) (h/l) hair, before rubbing her soft cheek with the back of my hand in a slow, steady motion.

Then, as a small smile came across my lips, I brought my hand down to her side, where her limp hand had been placed. I lifted the small, (s/c) hand, caressing it into my own. I used my thumb to rub the back of her hand, being gentle, as I hummed a softly. My blue eyes watched her sleep contently. Just seeing her in the white hospital bed, sleeping with a calm, relaxed expression seemed to have brought me peace.

I bent down to kiss her forehead, whispering into her ear, “Ich liebe dich, Tochter.”

~*Your POV*~

The steady beeping of monitors slowly drew you from your slumber, and back into the rigid arms of reality. Your (e/c) eyes slowly opened, exposing themselves to the pale room of the hospital ward. You scowl faintly, making a soft whimper, as you felt some solid object on your leg. You then looked over to your Vati, managing a pained smile, “…V-Vati…” you mumbled, feeling his thumb go over your (s/c) hand in a soothing manner.

Germany only smiled back at you, whispering in a comforting voice, “How are you feeling, (f/n)? Sie sind besser?” He asked you, looking into your eyes with concern.

Are you better? Your mind translated, before you yourself mumbled back, “J…Ja…” Germany sighed softly at you, continuing to rub your hand. He kissed your forehead, making you giggle faintly.

He smiled again, continuing to rub your hand, “Are you vell enough to walk around, (f/n)?” Your brow slowly knitted in concern. Am I good enough to walk? You asked yourself, worrying over the simple thought. Will I trip? Am I too weak? What about Vati, will he help me?

You sighed softly, frowning as you struggled over the thought, “…I….I don’t know, Vati…I think I would need help….Vati?” You asked.

Germany nodded, leaning closer to you so he could hear, “Ja, (f/n)?”

You yawned lightly, “…Can I walk around? Do you think they’d let me?”

Germany nodded, glancing towards the door. He then turned his eyes back to you, smiling gently, “Of course… But, only if you are up for it, (f/n). I vill help you, ja?”

You nodded, “Ja,” you responded with a smile, watching as Germany stood up. He then bent down to you, lifting you up carefully from the bed. He made sure none of the wires that connected from you to the monitors interfered with him picking you up, and then searched the room for something. He sighed lightly, before sitting you down in his chair. As he sat you down, you felt your right leg make a clink sound against the metal legs of the chair.

You scowled lightly, slowly peering over your lap and to your right leg. You gasped softly, looking at it.

Your right leg was now in a (f/c) cast; starting from the knee, and ending right at the start of your toes. Your eyes were glued to this new item on you, completely unaware of Germany bringing a walker to you.

He cleared his throat, whispering to you, “(f/n), I think you vill be needing this, ja?” You looked up to him, nodding shyly, before having him help you up to the walker. He made sure you were holding onto the soft, foam portion of the walker, before he lifted your (f/c) casted right foot, and putting a black brace on it. He then sat your right leg down with caution, before going over to the heart monitor and IV rack, and pulling the wheeled monitors closer to you.

He smiled down at you, saying, “Ready?”

You nodded at him, holding onto the walker, “Ja, Vati,” you responded, feeling the cream hospital gown loose around your body, acting like a big nightgown. Germany stepped forward, walking over to the door slowly, as he pulled behind him the IV rack and heart monitor. He opened the door, and let you hobble through with the walker, and into the white hall of the hospital. You looked behind you, watching as Germany slowly walked up to you, bringing the monitors with him.

He smiled at you, whispering encouragingly, “Come on, (f/n), let’s valk down the hall, and zen take a left. Ja?”

You nodded, smiling, “Ja,” you agreed, slowly starting to hobble down the hallway, taking a left as Germany instructed. The man was always by your side, keeping a slow, steady pace with the monitors in tow. He never hurried in front of you, nor lagged behind; but was always at your own stride. You smiled at this, happy that Vati wasn’t rushing or anything. When the two of you walked down the hall, you reached the end, which had two large doors at the end. You stopped in front of them, looking over at Germany. He smiled at you, and slowly opened one of the doors, not even saying a word. But, as he opened the door wider, and propped it open with his foot, you could hear loud gasps and exclaims.

“Woah! Look, guys! The dudette’s here!”

“Wow, it’s (f/n)! How are you, Poppet?”

“The little Sunflower is here, da.”

“(f/n)-chan is back. Are you feering better, (f/n)-chan?”

“(f/n) is back, aru!”

“Hononon~! The petite fleur is alright~!”

“Ve~! The bambina is okay-a!”

“The chica is back? Hey, (f/n)! How are you feeling, chica?”

As these voices came from the waiting room, tears stung your eyes. You shyly hobbled into the waiting room, with Germany behind you. He closed the door slowly, bringing the monitors beside you, and placing one of his large hands on your back. You smiled at all the familiar faces; Italy, France, Russia, Japan, China, England, Spain, and America. You watched as they all, one by one, lined up to give you a hug. You smiled at them, letting tears run down your cheeks.

The first in line was America, who immediately bent down so you could hug him. You reached over the walker, wrapping your arms around his neck. Germany watched with caution, and America wrapped an arm around you, saying, “I’m glad your better, Dudette. Keep this up, and we might be able to hang out and play video games!” You giggled softly, slowly letting go with a smile. You nodded to his praise, then watched as he walked back to the chairs, and took a seat.

Next was England. He also bent down, while you hugged him around the neck. He hugged you in return, whispering in your ear, “I am proud of you, love. You are doing a great job, and I can’t wait until you get out of the hospital, (f/n).” You smiled softly, nodding your thanks as you slowly let go of him. He also went to the chairs, sitting beside America reluctantly.

China’s turn was now; as he too bent down to hug you. He hugged you, reaching his arms over the walker to do so. He smiled, saying, “Aw, (f/n)! I hope you get better! You are really improving, aru!” You nodded shyly, watching him walk away to sit next to England.

Japan was hesitant at first, before he bent down in front of you, managing a faint smile. He then bowed his head to you, saying, “I hope things go for the better, (f/n)-chan. I berieve you wirr rearry improve; and get out of the hospitar quickry.” You nodded. As he finished, though, you reached out to hug him. You hugged his neck, feeling him freeze under your contact. But, after a couple seconds, he relaxed, reaching a steady arm to hug you in return. Once you finished hugging him, he sat down beside China, watching you with a gentle smile.

Italy was right behind Japan, and quickly hopped down to your level. He smiled at you, hugging you affectionately, “Ve~! (F/n)! I hope you get better, and remember, I will have pasta waiting for you-a when you-a get home-a~!” You giggled softly at his promise, trying to imagine this happening. Then again, the more you imagined it, the more of a reality it seemed to be. You nodded, soon watching the man skip over to Japan, and sitting beside the quiet man.

Spain smiled a toothy grin to you, and knelt in front of you, "Hey, chica! I hope things will be for the better." You hugged him, nodding softly. Spain smiled, before hugging you in return, and patting your back. He then let go, looking at you with a comforting smile, and walking back to the chairs, sitting beside America instead.

It was now France’s turn, and he lifted one of your hands up, bringing it close to his lips, and kissing it. You blushed, watching as he bent down to you, whispering, “Ohohoh…ma chérie….I hope ze best for you, petite fleur, (f/n). Stay strong, (f/n).” He smiled warmly at you, then wrapped his arms around you, kissing your cheek. You blushed, smiling softly at his words. Germany watched this, and gritted his teeth at what France had done. France smiled again, and then walked casually over to Italy, sitting down with an accomplished look.

Russia was last, as he walked over to you. He knelt down, saying to you, “My little Sunflower….I hope no one is bugging you, da? Please get better, (f/n), you are a strong sunflower. So, getting better, da?” You nodded, smiling at the purple-eyed man. You then reached your arms up to his big figure, trying to hug him. He slipped his gloved hands under your arms, lifting you up from the walker, and bringing you close into a hug. You hugged him around the neck, nodding softly, as tears still streamed down your cheeks. He slowly pulled away, setting you back behind the walker. You resumed your hold onto the walker, watching as Russia, with his child-like smile, sit down at a chair, seeming to be dazed.

Germany then walked to you, kneeling down in front of you, “Vant to head back, (f/n)?” You nodded tiredly, realizing that this small journey was a lot of work on your tiny figure. So, with that in mind, you waved the seven men goodbye, before Germany escorted you back to your hospital ward. Once you two were in the ward, he took the brace off, and gently laid you in bed. He tucked you in, placing the monitors in their original positions while he did. He bent down to kiss your head, whisperings, “Guten Nacht, (f/n).”

You smiled tiredly at him, nodding, before closing your eyes. Once your eyes were closed, you whispered, “Vati…? Will you visit tomorrow….?”

Germany answered your question with a rather happy tone, “Of course, (f/n). But now you need to rest, Ja? I vill come back tomorrow,” he repeated, before slowly walking out of the ward. Once you heard the door close, your eyes stayed shut, and a small smile came on your lips. I love you, Vati. I am really happy you helped me get away from Daddy….I am really happy that you love me, Vati. I can’t wait….to see…..to see you tomorr- Your thought was cut short, though, as you had fallen asleep.
